There is an Igbo saying that the silence of a lion is not a sign of it’s death or cowardice.
Having worked with a human lion like Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, I’ve learnt that the silence of a great man doesn’t mean he is down. He is simply planning a comeback.
Senator Ifeanyi Araraume may not have become govenror of Imo State, yet, but he has directly or indirectly decided who has become govenror of Imo State till date.
Yet he is very silent.
When Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha was removed by the Supreme Court, I had expected to hear his voice. But Ihedioha kept quiet. Ihedioha went out of circulation.
Despite taunting by all and sundry, many of whom called him an AWOL soldier, Ihedioha remained silent.
But he was definitely not idle. The fruits of those months of silence are gradually coming to fruitation as God seems to have hearkened to Ihedioha’s many months of dry fasting and prayers to God, tabling before God, the injustice that was done to him and Imo people.
Before our eyes, the camp of conspirators have scattered and are now raising up against each other.
As it is now, Hope Uzodinma is now running from pillar to post as his future on a stolen seat, is no longer guaranteed.
In fear, they have started chasing their shadows, pointing fingers at everybody for their problems.
Chiji is crying, accusing everybody for his impotence.
Uzodinma is calling people names, and accusing people of desperation to rule, when even a child born two days ago after hearing what happened on 14th of January 2020, know who is the desperate person amongst them.
Ihedioha may have been silent for so long, but Ihedioha was not idle.
