Former Governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha was absent at a meeting attended by some APC leaders in the South East and convened by Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Also absent was Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu who is adjudged leader of APC South East Caucus.
Details of the meeting were unknown at press time, and no reason at the time of filing this report was given for the absence of the duo at the meeting.
The meeting came barely few days after Senator Okorocha accused Governor Uzodinma of working against him and his family
Among those present at the meeting held at Government House, Owerri include South East Representative in the APC National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ken Nnamani, Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, Minister of Stat, Education, Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba, Minister of State, Mines and Steel, Hon Uche Ogah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon Geofrrey Onyeama, and others.
This is the first time leaders of the party in the South East are meeting after the dissolution of the Adams Oshiomole led National Working Committee, NWC of the party.
The NWC was replaced by a caretaker Committee led by Governor of Yobe State, Mala Mai Buni.
