The Imo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Sir Martin Ejiogu, has faulted the claim allegation of impeachment by the Speaker Imo State House of Assembly Rt. Hon . Chiji Collins, , accusing him of trying to create a scenario by diverting attention of Imo people towards his refusal to present his academic certificate.
Speaking to newsmen recently at the PDP State party secretariat, Owerri, Ejiogu, stated that there are 27 members of the state House of Assembly and six of them are PDP, which according to him, when checked mathematically it is impossible for these six members to make headway in impeaching him (the Speaker) or the Governor.
Ejiogu described the allegation is laughable especially coming from a man that occupy such an exalted position in the State.
The PDP Chairman, explained that the Speaker knows his problem, which is about his academic certificate, and those that brought the issue in public are not PDP members, adding that he should clearify his members on that, instead of joining the Governor to create tension in the State.
Moreso, he noted that Rt. Hon. Collins, had a personality problem, when former Governor Emeka Iheadioha made him the Speaker Imo House of Assembly, we observed how he castigated his follow members, togue lashed, and back stabbed them so as to be seen as saint, but now with his actions he has been exposed.
