Mr. AIC Akwarandu, New Media aide to removed governor of Imo State, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, have urged the embattled of the Imo State Assembly, Collins Chiji to step aside if he lacks ideas on how to manage the State Assembly.

Chiji have been in the news recently, over alleged impeachment plans against him. The embattled Speaker had fingered Ihedioha as the mastermind behind the impeachment moves against him.

Aides to Ihedioha have denied the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, involvement in Chiji’s travails urging Chiji to look elsewhere for the root of his problems, instead of looking at Ihedioha.

Reacting on his Facebook handle, Akwarandu had the following to say;

“No body is attacking Chiji Collins as an individual. He maybe a good man but that does not guarantee being a good State Assembly Speaker.

You are celebrating him for passing several bills, How many of these bills were sponsored by him? Or you don’t know a Speaker steps down to the chambers to sponsor a Bill of public interest?

All the defense around him speaks about how He is a good man and all that. None has tackled the core issues raised.

Can we now urge him to step aside as Speaker if He is lacking in ideas, while He continues His job as a good man?

Recently, a female Assembly member was assaulted with a wine bottle, and the Speaker is yet to react or condemn the act.
