Sacked governor of Imo State, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha have finally made his first public appearance, since his removal from office in January.
Ihedioha was sacked from office by the Supreme Court, which declared Senator Hope Uzodinma the rightful governor of Imo State. Since his removal, the former Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives had hidden from public eye.
Ihedioha today made his first public appearance, when he visited former governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu at his residence in Abuja. Ihedioha was in the company of former Imo State governor, Dr Ikedi Ohakim.
Details of their meeting wasn’t made public. Dr. Ikedi Ohakim and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu are very old political allies, with Kalu supposedly instrumental to a large extent to Ohakim’s emergence as governor of Imo State in 2007.
The visit may be to welcome Orji Uzor Kalu, who had been in prison over corruption charges, and had just recently regained his freedom.
The happenings in Imo State may still be part of the discussions.
