NWC Members have Turned Down NEC invitation.
Members of APC National Working Committee (NWC) has turned down the invitation to attend Thursday National Executive Committee (NEC) Meeting.
Rising from an emergency NWC meeting that lasted several hours, the NWC also added that President Muhammadu Buhari was ill advised to approving the NEC Meeting.
The NWC turned down the invitation of what they called the ‘illegal’ and ‘unconstitutional’ National Executive Committee (NEC) convened by Chief Victor Giadom who is laying claim to the national chaitmanship of the party and has the backing of President Muhammadu Buhari.
National Vice Chairman South-south, Mr. Hilliad Eta, who had been asked to function as the national chairman of the party by the NWC after the Deputy National Chairman, Mr Abiola Ajimobi became ill, made this disclosure in a statement that was made available to the press following an emergency meeting by the NWC on Wednesday.
Eta insists that President Buhari was wrongly advised or even blackmailed into throwing the weight of his office behind Giadom.
Eta stated that the NWC was of the belief that attending the NEC would amount to embracing illegalities and turning a blind eye to the infractions on the Constitution of the party.
Buhari have stated that the law is behind Giadom.
