The Attorney General of Imo State, COC Akaolisa, have stated that Ambrose Nwaogwugwu is not the problem for his continued detention, rather those urging him not to show remorse are the reason for his continued incarceration.
Akaolisa made the statement, while addressing newsmen after that bail application hearing for Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, at the Owerri Magistrate Court.
He stated that Ambrose Nwaogwugwu’s crime, wasn’t a crime against Gov Hope Uzodinma, but a crime against the state, and must show remorse. He stated that those, in his words “pumping” Ambrose Nwaogwugwu must “pat down” for the state to show fairness that Ambrose is seeking.
He further stated, that if those elements who want him to remain in custody does not stop urging him on, the law will take its course.
In his words Akaolisa warned “My message is to those who are pumping him, who are using him to cause problem in the state, to desist because they are the cause of his problem, not the boy”.
