The case of Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, the Social media director of the Imo State PDP, was brought before the Owerri Magistrate court today and his bail was once again denied by the court.
The Magistrate declines application for bail, and adjourned matter to 10th July 2020.
Nwaogwugwu arrived in a convoy of three DSS Innoson trucks, and was escorted into the court room by heavily armed DSS officers. He was returned to DSS custody.
Nwaogwugwu, have been in DSS custody since he was invited for questioning last month, by the security agency.
Mike Ahamba SAN, have led a team of lawyers to file a N50million suit against the DSS for unlawful detention of Nwaogwugwu.
Nwaogwugwu, is facing charges bordering on cyber terrorism against the state; charges he has pleaded not guilty to.
Gov Hope Uzodinma, have been bashed online locally and internationally by the continued detention of Ambrose Nwaogwugwu. The Imo PDP have shown solidarity and support as they group out in their numbers with their branded black T-Shirts at the court.
Barr Kissinger Ikeokwu, the State Legal Adviser of the Imo PDP briefly addressed newsmen after the Court session. A statement is expected from him and the PDP.
