Aisha Yesufu, co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls, BBOG, advocacy group, has reacted to the directive by the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo ordering the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to overhaul the management and activities of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) with immediate effect.

Yesufu said the directive by Osinbajo indicates that President Muhammadu Buhari was responsible for the brutality of SARS operatives.

In a series of tweets, the activist called on the Acting President to embark on more reforms.

She wrote: “Did you ever say that it’s not President Buhari’s fault of SARS brutality?

“Did you ever say there is IGP and it’s not for PMB to be held responsible?

Then I hope by the action of Acting President demanding overhaul of SARS you understand why PMB was held responsible

“Thank God Professor Yemi Osinbajo @ProfOsinbajo has realised that being Acting President is not about going round and giving motivational speeches and reminding us of what the problems are but by being Presidential and taking decisive measures. We need REFORMS.”
